The Library is based in three locations across two campuses. The Sheppard-Worlock Library operates on the Hope Park campus, while the Capstone and Cornerstone libraries are on the Creative Campus. The Sheppard-Worlock Library houses the university's Archives & Special Collections, which has its own hours of operation. At Creative Campus, a pop-up library operates in Cafe 1846 in the Cornerstone building from 11-1, Monday to Thursday. Each library has its own opening hours, so please make sure you check the opening hours for the library you wish to visit below.

The Sheppard-Worlock Library

This is Liverpool Hope's main library facility located on the Hope Park campus. During term time, the library operates extended opening hours until 8pm to accommodate students' study needs.​

• Term Time: The library is open from 8:30am to 8pm Monday to Friday, and 9am to 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays. This provides students with consistent access throughout the week, including weekends.​
• Staffed Hours: Library staff are present at the Library Help Point from 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Outside these core staffed hours, the library remains open but is monitored by Student Ambassadors who can assist with basic enquiries. Student Ambassadors are identifiable by their red tops and can help with questions about opening hours, using self-service machines, and general directions.​
• Access Requirements: Outside of library staffed hours, access to the Sheppard-Worlock Library is restricted to those with a valid university ID card. Visitors without a valid card will not be permitted entry during unstaffed hours. Temporary cards can be obtained from security in the i3 building.​​

Cornerstone Library

The Cornerstone Library is located on the Creative Campus and serves as one of two smaller library facilities available to students.​

• Term Time: The library is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. The library is closed at the weekend.​
• Staffed Hours: Library staff are available at Cornerstone from 9am to 1pm, Monday to Friday.​
• Additional Facilities: The Cornerstone building also houses the Student Success Zone, a 24-hour PC study space available during term time. This provides students with round-the-clock access to computer facilities even when the library itself is closed. ​A pop-up library operates in Cafe 1846 from 11-1, Monday to Thursday. 

Capstone Library

The Capstone Library is the second small library facility on the Creative Campus.​

• Term Time: Like Cornerstone, the Capstone Library operates Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and is closed at the weekend.​
• Staffed Hours: Library staff are present at Capstone from 2pm to 5pm, Monday to Friday.​

Archives & Special Collections

Liverpool Hope's Archives & Special Collections is housed within the Sheppard-Worlock Library at Hope Park. The collection contains over 75,000 items including manuscripts, rare books, archives, journals, pamphlets, and artefacts, and is open to all Hope staff and students, as well as the wider research community.​

• Opening Hours: Archives & Special Collections is open Tuesday to Friday from 9am to 4pm. The service is closed on Mondays for appointments.​
• Monday Book Retrieval Service: While closed for appointments on Mondays, a retrieval service for catalogued books is available. Books can be requested from the Radcliffe Collection, Gradwell Collection, or Andrew Walls Centre by asking at the library Help Point.​
• Access and Appointments: Loanable books from Special Collections may be borrowed during staffed hours, Monday to Friday 9am-4pm, on a drop-in basis. However, reference material, including rare books and archive collections, must be consulted in the Reading Room and require an appointment. To make an appointment, contact the Special Collections Librarian.
