Can you help me find a book in the library?

Answer

If you know the details of the book you want to find, the best way to start is by searching for its shelfmark in OneSearch. Enter the details of the book you want to find (e.g. title and author) into the OneSearch search box and click search. The book you want should appear in the results. Click on the title of the book to go into the book's record and see the shelfmark. This should be a number followed by three letter (e.g. 370.1 CAH). Make a note of this, then go to the area of the library where books with that shelfmark are shelved.

Maps of the library are available on the library website, here: https://www.hope.ac.uk/gateway/students/libraryservices/librariesandstudyspaces/

Then find the book on the shelf using the shelfmark sticker on the book's spine. Books are shelved in numerical sequence.
