How do I renew a book?

All 1- or 2-week loans automatically renew for up to 14 weeks unless they are reserved by another borrower. The auto-renewal period for PhD students is up to six months.
High demand items with shorter loan periods (24-hour and 2-day loans) must be renewed manually. They can be renewed up to 3 times before they must be returned.
You can renew books at our self-service machines, or by logging into your Library Account on OneSearch. You can also contact library staff in person, by email at askalibrarian@hope.ac.uk, or by telephone on 0151 291 2000 for assistance with renewing your books.
